Iced Tea
Ingredients:
10gms Mountain honeybush leaf tea
1 litre boiled water
1 litre fruit juice
ice
mint and or sliced oranges/lemons/raspberries (depending on fruit juice)
Preparation:
Pour freshly boiled water over mountain honeybush tea and leave to infuse overnight (preferably in the fridge)
When cold, pour through a strainer into a jug that can hold 2 litres (or 2 x 1 litre jugs, one for now, one for later!)
Add your choice of juice, ice, and fruit and/or mint and stir.
You shouldn’t require sugar but can do so if necessary.
Pour into glass and enjoy! Can be kept in fridge for at least 3 days.
Flavouring steamed food with Tea
Jasmine Rice
If you use a steamer to make your rice, try adding a few China White Jasmine Dragon Pearls to the water, you will be pleasantly surprised.
Steamed Pork
If you want to try something different, try steaming pork chops or loins using Lapsang Souchong in the water for a slight smokey flavour.
Steamed Fish
When steaming fish, try the Earl Grey with Cornflowers in the water for the slight Bergamot flavour.
