Rooibos and Honeybush grow side by side in the Cedarberg mountains of South Africa and are actually legume which has had the tea oxidisation process applied to the needle-like leaves of the bushes in order to reach the red colour that we know today.
The pure peppermint leaves are simply dried to stop the oxidisation of the leaves and retain the oil within which gives the herbal infusion its refreshing aroma and flavour
