China Green Bi Luo Chun Tea

Another of the Chinese famous teas, this China green Bi Luo Chun Tea (loose leaf) translates as Jade Snail Spring. Jade being the colour of the leave, and snail being the leaf shape once processed. It is renowned for its delicate appearance and light, floral aroma with a sweet vegetal taste.

This loose leaf green tea comes from Suzhou in Jiangsu Province, from a tea garden elevation of 600m and harvested Pre-Qing Ming.

Infuse using water at a temperature between 80 to 85 degrees Celsius. Infusion times should be no more than 1 minute 30 secs to 2 minutes maximum.

Recommended Infusion instructions:
Near Boiling but not boiled water (90 degrees Celsius – crab to fish eyes bubble size, see Tea Making for more info)
5gms of tea leaves to 150ml gaiwan/clay teapot
You can do a rinse but I don’t as I find with most teas, the first infusion is the most revealing.
Infusions 1 to 2: 20-30 seconds
Infusions 3 to 4: 30-60 seconds
