China White Bai Mu Dan Tea
£4.50
China white Bai mu dan tea (or pai mu tan) is a white tea with a fuller flavour than the Bai Hao Yin Zhen silver needle tea due to the grade of leaf and also the processing technique.
The best bai mu dan tea is produced using the two leaves and a bud and is withered 12 to 24 hours depending on the weather. Piled to two inches high on drying racks made from bamboo, and then dried, white tea is the least processed of all teas.
As a result, white tea is said to be higher in anti-oxidants and polyphenols than green and black tea. You will be able to get 3 or more infusions from the same leaves. However, the first infusion should been done using water at a temperature of around 70 to 80 degrees Celsius.
Available in 50 gram pouches

I really liked this tea. I enjoy whites that aren’t just plain sweet, but also have some depth to them and this tea delivers. Also enjoyed the cha qi!
